Gucci Mane Biography
The year 2005 was like yin and yang for Atlanta bling rapper
The beef with Young Jeezy originated from a fight over the rights to the album's "Icy" hit single, which spawned a number of dis tracks traded between the two. Within the same month of his LP's release, Gucci Mane was arrested for murder on account of an altercation where he shot at a group of five men who burst into his friend's house, threatening to kill the rapper. As it turned out, the murdered attacker was an associate of Young Jeezy, but he has denied any involvement with the incident. Gucci Mane declared in court that it was self-defense, and by January 2006, Georgia prosecutors dropped all charges, citing lack of evidence. After being released from jail (on charges unrelated to the murder) that same month, he quickly went back into the studio to make his second album, Hard to Kill, which was released in October. He took the song "Go Head" from his first album and made it the lead single for the second in order to make up for the time taken away from promoting Trap House. Cyril Cordor, All Music Guide

If you dont know you should know. Gucci Mane been putting it down for past 3 years and now is finally going to get his nationwide recognition that he deserves. Rapper Gucci Mane has formed So Icey, a new record label with Czar Entertainment that will release his third album, which will be distributed by Asylum/Atlantic Records.
Gucci Mane, born Radric Davis, has sold over a half million albums independently, mostly fueled by his hit 2005 hit "Icey," which featured Young Jeezy.
The two rappers engaged in a bitter feud over whose album the song would appear on and after trading insults on mixtapes, the situation escalated when Gucci Mane was hit with murder charges, after a man allegedly affiliated with Young Jeezy was shot and killed during a botched robbery attempt in May 2005.
The charges against Gucci Mane were eventually dropped and the rapper released his 2005 debut, Trap House, which was released on Big Cat Records.
"It was a great coup for us to land Gucci Mane," said Todd Moscowitz, President of Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group (ILG). "He's one of the most charismatic and acclaimed rappers on the street, with an extraordinary life story and the authenticity and talent to back it up."
Craig Kallman, CEO and Chairman of Atlantic Records, labeled Gucci Mane a "brilliant and fantastic character."
"Since releasing his first album two years ago, he has emerged as a compelling true-life storyteller with a unique voice and undeniable star power," Kallman stated. "I am thrilled to welcome Gucci and his So Icey label into the Atlantic and Asylum family."
The untitled album is slated to hit stores this summer and features appearances by Pimp C., Rich Boy, R&B group Silk and others. Producers on the album include Nitty, SupaSonics, Butta, Shorty Red and Zaytoven.

Gucci Mane Freestyle Ability
By Hampton Jackson
One of the greatest rap freestyle artists is a guy from the South who goes by the name Gucci Mane. He first got into rapping at a young age after he began writing poems. He had always liked expressing how he felt to other people through his creativity. Eventually, it continued and Gucci Mane ended up becoming one of the top freestyle artists in the hip-hop game. His ability to freestyle has been compared to superstars like Eminem, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, as well as other artists like Mos Def, Common, Lupe Fiasco, and Talib Kweli who are all known for their great freestyles.
The thing that people love most when hearing Gucci Mane freestyle is the fact that his rhymes always relate to the streets and always stays true to who he is as a person. Gucci is a man that is not afraid to tell people that he likes to party, hustle, as well as buy expensive things. He particularly enjoys rhyming about his jewelry, his clothing, and his cars whenever his fans hear him rap some lines. He always looked up to the great southern freestyle artist Lil Flip, but most would agree that Gucci's ability to rap off the top of his head has surpassed that of most other southern artists.
He is not an egocentric artist that brags to be the king of the south; however, everybody knows that he has gained a lot of fame from his massive southern fan base. If you are interested in hearing his freestyles, you can check out some Gucci Mane mixtapes and find plenty. One of the reasons that his mixtape releases are considered to be so great is due to the fact that people love hearing his new freestyle rhymes. He doesn't hold back with what he needs to say and always lets the people know how he is feeling.
The next time that you hear a rapper chant a freestyle, be sure to take a moment and appreciate the skill that was developed. Most true rappers like Gucci Mane are able to come up with new material for their rhymes right off the top of their head. They often do not need to write down any words because they have such a great emotional memory that allows them to express exactly what needs to be said in any given situation. Though there are great freestyle artists like Lil Wayne and Eminem, people should not be talking about the top freestyle-artists unless they mention Gucci Mane La Flare; who resides in the sixth zone of Eastern Atlanta.
Hampton states the truth about Gucci Mane freestyle rhyming as well as new Gucci Mane music.
